What we look for

The Kind of People
We Place

01
Proven regional experience
You've worked in agriculture, pastoral, or mining before and know what's expected. You don't need the basics explained.
02
Reliability
You show up, do what you say you'll do, and don't leave mid-contract. That's what our clients need and what we look for.
03
The right attitude
Skill can be developed. Attitude can't. We work with people who take pride in their work and respect the operation they're part of.
04
Comfortable working regionally
Most of our roles are in regional or remote areas. If you're comfortable with that lifestyle, there are excellent opportunities waiting.

Common questions

What People Ask Us

Is it really free for job seekers?
Yes, always. AgRec charges a placement fee to the employer once a hire is made. There is no cost to you at any stage — not for registration, not for matching, not ever.
Do I need lots of experience to register?
Not necessarily. We place candidates at all levels — from entry-level farm hands and mine site labourers to experienced property managers and site supervisors. What matters most is that you're genuine about regional work and willing to commit.
What areas do you cover?
Our primary coverage is Western Australia and Queensland, with placements across the country including the Wheatbelt, Great Southern, Pilbara, Kimberley, Goldfields, and Darling Downs. Flexibility on location opens up significantly more options.
Do you place mining roles as well as ag?
Yes. AgRec is actively expanding into regional mining recruitment across WA. If you have mine site experience or are looking to transition into the sector, register your details and we'll be in touch when suitable roles come up.
How long does it take to find a role?
It depends on your skill set and location flexibility. Some candidates are placed within a week or two. Others may take longer if they're looking for something specific. We'll always be upfront about what's available and realistic for your situation.
Do you handle accommodation or relocation?
Many of our roles — especially pastoral, station, and mine site positions — include on-site accommodation. We'll always be clear about what's provided before you commit. Relocation assistance varies by employer and we'll make sure you have all the details upfront.
Can I register if I'm from overseas?
Yes. We work with candidates from Australia and abroad, provided they hold appropriate working rights. Include your visa type and expiry when registering so we can match you to suitable roles.
