This is your chance to work on a 5100 Ha farm, gaining hands-on experience across a wide variety of tasks, with room for growth and development.

About the Role:

As a Farm Operations Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in the daily operations of our mixed enterprise farm, which includes 2000 Ha of cropping (Barley, Canola, Oats) and 12,000 merino sheep. You’ll assist with seeding, spreading, spraying, machinery maintenance, and livestock management. With a focus on efficiency and high standards, you will also have the opportunity to learn new skills in areas like spraying, spraying, and management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Farm Operations: Assist with seeding, spreading, spraying, harvest duties, livestock feeding and movements, paddock preparation, and more.
✔ Machinery Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain modern machinery, including STX 450, DBS, Rogator 300C, and Claas Header.
✔ Livestock Management: Some involvement in animal husbandry, including sheep care, stock movements, and feeding.
✔ Mechanical Support: Perform basic machinery repairs and maintenance, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
✔ Logistics Management: Assist in planning and executing daily farm tasks, ensuring efficient workflow.
✔ Community Engagement: Support and encourage local community involvement, from sports to volunteering!

About You:

✅ Previous experience in farm work (cropping and livestock)
✅ Mechanical hands-on attitude
✅ Experience with or willingness to learn GPS-guided machinery
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
✅ HR or MC truck licence preferred (but not essential)
✅ A good sense of humour and willingness to pitch in where needed
